From the Heart Philosophy
When I started my business many things needed to be done, including choosing a name. I needed something which conveyed my training approach, that of positive reinforcement (no "jerk and choke" here), something incorporated in the name, that told where I feel all training should begin. BINGO!!! That was it and FROM THE HEART was born.
Training is essential for your dog's mental development. It can be done formally or informally, and unless you live in a vacuum, behavior will develop. Through training we can mold your dog's behavior into a desirable asset.
Behavioral problems are the primary reasons pets are turned into shelters, according to the latest statistics. Statistics also reveal using aggressive training methods increases the potential for development of aggressive behavior. Trust is the key word in the methods used at FROM THE HEART, however, trust must be earned by and from your dog. During class you will work hard, play games, laugh, and learn. But most importantly, you will form a bond with your pet.
All family members are encouraged to participate in class. After all, "in the real world" everyone in a household should communicate with the dog. If they understand what methods you used, your dog will be less likely to become confused.
Dogs are, by nature, social animals and look to us to provide leadership that is fair and non-judgmental. During class you will be provided with new ways to look at your dog's behavior and why he does "bad" things. You will be provided with the tools to correct problems, along with several options to re-train an undesirable behavior.
My commitment to you is to provide you with tools needed to change undesirable behavior into desirable behavior. A dog's friendship can be a wonderful one if you both have similar goals. I wish you and your dog many happy and fulfilling years together.
In order to assure personal attention, class sizes are strictly limited.
